Helicopter Tour/Charter/Excursion Questions
What are your hours of operation?
Our office hours are Thursday-Monday from10 am-6 pm.
Both our public and private tour options depart from Noon -5pm on the hour
Private charters and excursions are by appointment.
What Days of the week are you open?
We are open Thursday-Monday, except for major holidays. If you would like to book a custom flight on a holiday please email info@atomichelicopters.com for more information.
Are you open on weekends?
Yes, we are open on Saturdays and Sundays.
Are you open year-round?
No, we are open seasonally from April to November, weather permitting.
Is there a passenger minimum?
For public tours, a minimum of 3 passengers is required to operate a flight. If this minimum is not met, our team will contact you to discuss options: canceling with a refund, paying to upgrade to a private tour, or rescheduling for another date and time. Without meeting the minimum, we cannot guarantee that the flight will proceed as scheduled.
For private tours, charters, and excursions there is no minimum number of people required.
do you offer flights outside of your normal hours of operation?
Yes, we do offer flights outside of our normal hours of operation. For flights operating between 6:01 pm-9:59 am, there is a one-time $200 after-hours surcharge added to the flight balance. Please note that after sunset we only fly in well lit areas such as downtown Seattle/Bellevue. We do not offer helicopter transportation over any mountain terrain or operate any off airport take offs or landings at night.
Can we still fly if it is raining?
Yes, the beautiful city of Seattle and the rest of the Pacific Northwest are no strangers to light rain. Your flight will likely not be canceled due to rain. However, if there is heavy rain, low clouds and/or high winds we will contact you to reschedule your flight.
What is your weather policy?
Atomic Helicopters operates rain or shine. If the weather is forecasted to be unsafe to operate on the day of your flight we will contact you to reschedule your flight or give you a full refund of your deposit if possible*.
*Please note that all gift card sales are final, guests who book with a gift card/gift code will be offered the option to reschedule if their flight is canceled due to weather.
What is your CANCELLATION policy?
Cancellations can be made within 24 hours from time of charge by emailing or texting our team by email: info@atomichelicopters.com or via text: 206-379-0648.
If cancellation is requested outside the 24 hour policy, there are no refunds.
If our team has to cancel your flight due to unsafe weather conditions you will be given the option to reschedule your flight or get a refund of your deposit, except if you booked with a gift card/code.
All gift card/code sales are final. Guests who book with a gift card/code will be given the option to reschedule in case our team has to cancel the flight due to unsafe weather conditions.
Is there an age limit to fly with Atomic Helicopters?
We have no age limit, guests of all ages are welcome!
I am pregnant or someone in my group is pregnant, can I/they fly?
We recommend that pregnant women check with their doctor prior to booking a flight with us. We have no restrictions for pregnant passengers flying with us.
What tours do you offer?
We offer three different tour options: City, Lake and Grand. Depending on the route the tour duration ranges from about 15 - 40 minutes. For more information on our routes, rates and availability click here to see our tours page.
What are the rates for tours?
Rates for our tours are per passenger plus tax and vary depending on the tour, for exact rates click here to be directed to our tour page.
How many passengers can ride in the Helicopter per tour/flight?
Our Airbus H-130 Helicopter can accommodate up to 5 passengers per flight. Our tours are not private unless otherwise stated.
Do you offer charter flights?
Yes, we do offer charter flights. If you would like to book or get a quote for a charter flight please email info@atomichelicopters.com for more information.
How do I book a flight with Atomic helicopters?

Do you have a weight limit?
The maximum weight limit per person is 300 lbs. / 136 kilos / 21 stone. Guests exceeding the weight limit will be required to purchase an additional comfort seat. The 5-passenger weight limit may not exceed a collective 1,240 lbs. per helicopter and the total may be less depending on departure location and tour/charter tour. Guests with inaccurately stated weights may be canceled with no refund.
